Deck overview

This Golgari deck centers on Greta, Sweettooth Scourge, using Food tokens as a versatile resource for card draw, life buffer, and creature enhancement. The strategy focuses on establishing early board presence with efficient Food creators like Tough Cookie, Gilded Goose, and Savvy Hunter, then leveraging repeatable sacrifice triggers through Greta or Trail of Crumbs to sustain hand size. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions from incremental value into decisive combat damage by overwhelming opponents with large beaters like Feasting Troll King or executing a team-wide pump via Night of the Sweets' Revenge. While the deck excels at grinding incremental advantage and recovering life, it lacks fast acceleration, stack-based interaction, and dedicated protection spells, making it vulnerable to sweepers and fast combo strategies.
