Deck overview

This is a classic Golgari Elfball deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves, built to explode from a handful of one-mana dorks into a swarm of a dozen-plus Elves by turn five or six. The mana engine is the heart of the deck: Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Wirewood Channeler, and Circle of Dreams Druid turn the creature count itself into a production resource, while Heritage Druid and Marwyn, the Nurturer provide additional acceleration. The primary finish is one giant pump effect - Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, or Ezuri, Renegade Leader's overrun - that turns the swarm into lethal trampling damage at the table. Lathril is simultaneously a token generator, a mana sink, and an alternative finisher; her activated ability can drain the table for 10 life apiece once ten Elves are tapped. The deck's secondary route is a compact infinite combo involving Staff of Domination plus a big-tapping Elf, which generates infinite mana and draws the deck to find a haste-granting kill.
