Format: Commander

Commander: Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Goreclaw is a mono-green mana-discount beatdown deck. The primary plan is to use one-mana elves and land-search spells to land Goreclaw on turn three, then cast a stream of 4+ power creatures at reduced cost while Garruk's Uprising and friends convert each big body into cards. Secondary paths include Natural Ordering a dork into Craterhoof Behemoth and assembling the Selvala + Surrak and Goreclaw + Temur Sabertooth loop for unlimited mana and casts. The commander is the central cost-reducer and combat lord, but no hidden commander is needed; Surrak and Goreclaw simply reinforces the same game plan. The deck closes with a trampling alpha strike, usually via Craterhoof or End-Raze Forerunners.
