Deck overview

This is a Shadowborn Apostle deck with Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker as the recursion engine; the Apostle is effectively the hidden commander. The primary plan sacrifices 1-power creatures each turn, lets Shirei return them at the next end step, and converts those deaths into repeated life loss with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance. Sacrificing six Apostles tutors Demons such as Rune-Scarred Demon and Razaketh, opening a secondary demon-value plan. A mass sacrifice finisher with Blasphemous Edict turns an accumulated board of Apostles and tokens into one-shot drain, while Liliana's Contract offers an alternate win if four differently named Demons are in play.
