Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Dimir tempo strategy built around Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. Its core plan opens on Turn 1 with an unblockable or flying creature, immediately enabling commander ninjutsu on Turn 2 for {U}{B}. Because commander ninjutsu is an activated ability, Yuriko dodges traditional commander tax and enters tapped and attacking. When Ninjas deal combat damage, Yuriko reveals the top card of the library, puts it into hand, and drains each opponent for life equal to its mana value. The deck magnifies this effect by packing high-mana-value spells with alternative casting costs, such as Draco, Shadow of Mortality, and delve spells, alongside topdeck manipulators like Brainstorm and Sensei's Divining Top. Backed by cheap disruption and pitch spells, the deck generates card advantage and life pressure that can close out four-player games by Turn 5.
