Doom Prevails by raven2008

Format: Commander

Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain-tribal deck helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, built around the connive mechanic and a deep play-from-exile package. The commander grants a free connive to a Villain each combat, and a dense suite of enablers - Ultron, Unlimited, Prowler, Clawed Thief, Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, Leader, Super-Genius, and Kang, Temporal Tyrant - turns discarding into card advantage and board growth. Payoffs like Glorious Purpose, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and Archfiend of Ifnir convert each connive into counters, free spells, or -1/-1 counters. A parallel exile/graveyard engine - Klaw, Master of Sound, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, Containment Construct, Currency Converter, and the Mayhem cards - makes discarded cards reusable. The deck wins through combat, going wide with Villain tokens from Madame Hydra, Living Laser, and Loki, the Deceiver, then finishing with The Squadron Sinister granting everything flying and haste.
