Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Angel Reanimator strategy commanded by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The primary game plan focuses on utilizing efficient mana rocks and cost reducers to deploy early self-mill and entomb effects like Buried Alive, stocking the graveyard with high-impact Angels such as Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Angel of the Ruins, Bruna, the Fading Light, and Gisela, the Broken Blade. Shilgengar is cast on turn 4 or 5, where sacrificing an Angel immediately produces five to eight Blood tokens. On turn 6, Shilgengar pays three mana to return all creatures from the graveyard to play. This triggers powerful ETB removal, establishes massive flying board presence, and melds Bruna and Gisela into Brisela, Voice of Nightmares. Opponents are locked out of low-mana spells while facing lethal aerial combat damage on turn 7.
