Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black planeswalker control and aristocrats build centered on Liliana, Heretical Healer and a dense suite of Liliana planeswalkers. The game plan focuses on establishing early board presence with recursive creatures like Gravecrawler and Reassembling Skeleton, quickly sacrificing them to transform the commander into Liliana, Defiant Necromancer. Once online, the deck leverages symmetric discard and edict effects to strip opponents of resources while breaking parity through Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, and death triggers from Undead Augur and Midnight Reaper. The late game transitions into decisive threats, either casting Rise of the Dark Realms to seize all graveyards, storming through the library with Bolas's Citadel, or executing an infinite Magecraft drain combo by targeting oneself repeatedly with Chain of Smog while controlling Professor Onyx. The strategy thrives on continuous attrition, table-wide sacrifice effects, and steady planeswalker loyalty accumulation.
