Deck overview

This Sharuum the Hegemon deck is an Esper artifact combo and control list. It aims to control the game pace using light taxes and countermagic while assembling one of two lethal artifact combos. The first combo pairs Thopter Foundry, Sword of the Meek, and Time Sieve to take infinite extra turns. The second uses Sharuum the Hegemon, a clone effect like Phyrexian Metamorph or Sculpting Steel, and Disciple of the Vault to drain the entire table through infinite death triggers. The deck accelerates using mana rocks, Myr creatures, and cost reducers like Etherium Sculptor. It finds its pieces through tutors like Whir of Invention, Tezzeret the Seeker, and Oswald Fiddlebender, supported by self-mill from Emry, Lurker of the Loch. If an early attempt is disrupted, mass recursion spells like Dance of the Manse and Open the Vaults allow the deck to rapidly rebuild its board and close out the game.
