Scourge of the Sword Coast by Ioun

Format: Commander

Commander: Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Sword Coast Sailor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet extra-combat voltron uses Karlach, Fury of Avernus as a repeatable extra combat engine that untaps attackers and grants first strike, while Sword Coast Sailor makes commander creatures unblockable when attacking the player with the most life. The deck stacks additional extra-combat sources (Combat Celebrant, Port Razer, Moraug, Scourge of the Throne, Relentless Assault) with power doublers (Embercleave, City on Fire, The Reaver Cleaver) to turn two combats into three or four and close with 21 commander damage or tripled combat damage. Secondary paths go wide with Elturel Survivors myriad and Etali value, with Delina + Port Razer as a fragile infinite-combat line. Hidden engines are Coastal Piracy effects and Professional Face-Breaker for sustained draw and Treasure.
