Deck overview

This Averna, the Chaos Bloom deck is a Temur midrange strategy focused on chaining cascade and discover triggers. The primary game plan utilizes early artifact and land ramp to establish Averna on Turn 3, turning every subsequent cascade spell into free spell velocity and extra land drops. By Turn 6, this compounding mana advantage allows the deck to cast massive multi-cascade threats such as Maelstrom Wanderer and Apex Devastator, generating wide boards with immediate haste. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents through high-powered combat attacks supported by asymmetric damage sweepers and cast-from-exile burn payoffs. While the engine generates exceptional card flow and mana acceleration that is difficult to counter on the stack, it lacks targeted tutors and relies heavily on resolving sorcery-speed threats, leaving its creature-heavy win conditions exposed to opponent board wipes across multiple combat cycles.
