Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive, synergy-focused Boros artifact build commanded by Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp. It revolves around the Modular mechanic, turning artifact creature deaths into compounding combat threats. Zabaz acts as both an enabler and a payoff, increasing the +1/+1 counters distributed whenever a modular creature dies while serving as an on-demand sacrifice outlet and an evasive commander damage threat. The strategy establishes an early board of low-mana modular creatures and mana rocks by Turn 3, then uses counter-retention engines like The Ozolith, Resourceful Defense, and Arcbound Ravager to funnel power onto a single unblockable or flying attacker. By Turn 5, the deck presents lethal commander damage against individual opponents, closing out the table sequentially through combat, double strike, or Fling by Turn 7. Robust protection spells safeguard the board against traditional board wipes, while dedicated recursion tools ensure resilience against attrition.
