Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black combo-control list built around fast mana acceleration, heavy card-drawing engines, and a compact infinite combo finish. It leverages explosive mana positive artifacts and rituals to accelerate its mana curve into early threats and card engines. The primary win condition combines Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog, which triggers Magecraft repeatedly to drain all opponents from full life to zero in a single turn. Unconditional black tutors and life-for-cards engines such as Griselbrand and Necropotence ensure consistent assembly. To protect its game plan, the deck fields premier asymmetric hatebears like Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters, alongside efficient removal and targeted hand disruption. If the primary combo is answered, the deck pivots seamlessly into powerful secondary win conditions such as Bolas's Citadel storm chains or a massive Torment of Hailfire.
