Deck overview

Tellah, Great Sage commands an Izzet spellslinger deck that converts noncreature spells into wide boards of Hero creature tokens, draws cards off four-mana investments, and closes games with explosive direct burn. The deck builds early mana velocity and cost reduction through pieces like Goblin Electromancer, Stormcatch Mentor, and two-mana artifacts. Once Tellah enters the battlefield on Turn 5, every noncreature spell produces tokens while higher-cost spells draw extra cards to maintain momentum. On Turn 6, the deck leverages large token counts or opponent mana development with Battle Hymn or Mana Geyser to generate massive mana pools. It then channels this mana into game-ending finishers like Jaya's Immolating Inferno, Comet Storm, or overloaded Mizzix's Mastery, amplified by Thousand-Year Storm, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and burn triggers from Guttersnipe and Coruscation Mage to eliminate all opponents in a single decisive turn.
