Deck overview

This deck leverages Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin at the helm of a Grixis control and attrition strategy built on Wizard synergies, blink spells, and discard payoffs. The primary game plan accelerates into an early Kefka on Turn 4, instantly generating card advantage and forcing symmetrical hand disruption. From Turn 5 onward, the deck amplifies these triggers using Harmonic Prodigy, Naban, Dean of Iteration, and Displacer Kitten, rapidly reducing opponents to empty hands while flooding the board with Zombie tokens and mana via Waste Not and Bone Miser. Life totals are drained steadily through Liliana's Caress, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Archon of Cruelty, leading to a clean combat finish by Turn 7. Robust protection from Deflecting Swat, Hexing Squelcher, and instant-speed flicker spells shields key assets, while a strong reanimation package ensures high resilience against board wipes.
