Deck overview

This is a low-to-the-ground Orzhov equipment/voltron deck built around Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The usual plan is to reach four mana, cast Squall, then use free attach effects such as Sigarda's Aid, Forge Anew, or Hammer of Nazahn to put Colossus Hammer or Blackblade Reforged on him. Attacking alone gives Squall double strike, and his combat damage triggers recur cheap permanents from the graveyard. Swords also produce cards, mana, and protection. There is no true hidden commander; Balan, Wandering Knight and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary are backup carries if Squall is unavailable. The manabase is smooth and the tutor base is dense enough to make the primary line reliable.
