Deck overview

This Mardu Knights & Equipment deck, helmed by Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale, aims to deploy a critical mass of Knight creatures, suit them up with Equipment, and overwhelm opponents through combat damage. Syr Gwyn provides a powerful draw engine (drawing a card each time an equipped creature attacks) and reduces equip costs to zero for Knights, enabling explosive turns. The deck generates value through repeatable tutors like Armored Skyhunter and Sunforger, while Puresteel Paladin and Midnight Reaper offer additional card flow. The primary win condition is combat damage from equipped Knights, with token generation from History of Benalia, Silverwing Squadron, and Finale of Glory providing a go-wide backup. Removal is handled by a suite of efficient spells like Anguished Unmaking, Vindicate, and Crackling Doom, while protection comes from Guardian of Faith, Knight Exemplar, and Etchings of the Chosen. The deck lacks counterspells and fast combo lines, relying on incremental advantage and resilient combat steps to close out games.
