Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu combat and goad strategy commanded by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana on Turn 2, casting Isshin on Turn 3, and deploying high-impact attack-triggered permanents on Turn 4. Isshin doubles all attacking triggers controlled by the pilot, creating explosive token swarms through Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, massive card draw through Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant and Aurelia, the Law Above, and substantial mana velocity with Sword of the Animist. The deck controls the tempo of the table by utilizing goad effects like Disrupt Decorum, Taunt from the Rampart, and the Impetus enchantment cycle, forcing opposing creatures to attack each other while keeping the pilot safe. Games are decisively closed through overwhelming token alpha strikes and asymmetric board wipes such as Ruinous Ultimatum.
