Deck overview

This Simic deck is built around Berta, Wise Extrapolator, focusing on +1/+1 counter synergies, mana multiplication, and scalable X-spells. The deck accelerates through early ramp like Nature's Lore, Arcane Signet, and Sol Ring to cast Berta ahead of curve. Once operational, Berta's Increment mechanic turns higher-cost spells into +1/+1 counters, refunding mana and generating scalable Fractal creature tokens. Counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, and Kami of Whispered Hopes amplify this growth exponentially. The mid-to-late game converts massive mana into decisive board presences using threats like Primo, the Unbounded, Goldvein Hydra, and Tanazir Quandrix, supported by trample enablers like Duskshell Crawler. Substantial card draw from Pull from Tomorrow, Stroke of Genius, and Pensive Professor maintains velocity, while instant protection like Silkguard and Tyvar's Stand shields critical pieces. Additionally, the deck includes a compact infinite mana combo with Lilysplash Mentor and Peregrine Drake to close games decisively.
