Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue big-mana stompy and show-and-tell strategy piloted by Braids, Conjurer Adept. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Braids on Turn 4 to bypass the prohibitive mana costs of game-ending colorless Eldrazi, artifact behemoths, and legendary sea monsters starting on Turn 5 upkeep. By cheating existential threats such as Void Winnower, Portal to Phyrexia, It That Betrays, and Ancient Silver Dragon directly onto the battlefield, the deck rapidly establishes an overwhelming board presence. While Braids provides symmetrical upkeep triggers to opponents, the deck breaks parity through the sheer scale, Annihilator triggers, and stax elements of its payoffs. A suite of efficient counterspells and protective tools like Lightning Greaves and Kira, Great Glass-Spinner shield key pieces while massive creatures dismantle opposing life totals over successive combat phases, typically concluding the game around Turn 8. In the event of commander disruption, robust colorless ramp enables hard-casting top-end threats.
