Deck overview

This deck utilizes The Ninth Doctor alongside Clara Oswald to build an engine centered on duplicating and multiplying upkeep triggers. By tapping The Ninth Doctor via combat or utility lands like Springleaf Drum and Holdout Settlement, the deck guarantees an extra upkeep step every turn upon untapping. Early turns focus on deploying mana rocks and establishing cheap card filtering. Around Turn 5, the deck deploys high-impact upkeep engines such as Court of Ire, Court of Embereth, Plargg and Nassari, or As Foretold. With multiple upkeeps per turn cycle, these permanents scale rapidly, dealing exponential burn damage, generating large Dragon swarms with Dragonmaster Outcast and Skyline Despot, or generating overwhelming card advantage. A robust suite of efficient countermagic and targeted removal protects the board and disrupts opposing game plans, giving the deck the resilience needed to close out games through cumulative burn and evasive combat damage by Turn 8.
