Deck overview

This deck leverages Codie, Ravenous Codex as an engine to duplicate 'prepared' spells cast from creature cards. By utilizing creatures that enter prepared—such as Studious First-Year, Emeritus of Ideation, and Goblin Glasswright—the deck casts instant and sorcery copies that Codie doubles on cast. Because prepared spells are cast from a zone other than hand, they simultaneously trigger paradox and cast-from-exile engines such as Fiery Inscription, Shadow of the Goblin, Passionate Archaeologist, and Kellan, the Kid. The deck ramps on early turns, deploys Codie by Turn 3, and begins duplicating utility and card-draw spells on Turn 4. From Turn 6 onward, a critical mass of burn triggers and duplicated high-impact spells (such as Exsanguinate or Lightning Bolt via prepare) drains all three opponents to zero within a single response cycle. While highly synergistic, the list is vulnerable to targeted removal and board wipes due to minimal countermagic.
