Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Spellslinger Control build commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. It focuses on controlling the board through efficient removal and pillowfort taxes while triggering Y'shtola's ability whenever you cast noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater. By attaching Auras like Curiosity or Ophidian Eye to Y'shtola, each qualifying spell deals 2 damage to every opponent and draws up to three cards, rapidly pulling you ahead in card advantage. The deck features format-staple free interaction such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deadly Rollick to protect its game plan while tapping out for engines. It closes games decisively on Turn 6 using a two-card infinite combo with Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, which drains all opponents of their life total simultaneously upon any life change.
