Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie typal and aristocrats build commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The strategy focuses on establishing early Zombie board presence, leveraging Wilhelt to generate 2/2 decayed Zombie tokens whenever nontoken Zombies perish, and converting those tokens into steady end-step card draw. As the game develops, the deck amplifies its horde with typal lords like Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Diregraf Captain, granting combat evasion, deathtouch, and direct life drain triggers. High-impact spells such as Zombie Apocalypse, Empty the Laboratory, and Liliana's Mastery provide explosive mid-to-late game bursts to overwhelm opponents or recover from board wipes. While the deck possesses strong tribal synergy and resilient graveyard recursion through Gisa and Geralf, it carries minimal countermagic and zero enchantment removal, making it reliant on proactive creature aggression and timely removal.
