Licia, Life as a Resource [Bracket 4, No Tutors] by Dusky90

Format: Commander

Commander: Licia, Sanguine Tribune

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Mardu life-gain and life-drain deck helmed by Licia, Sanguine Tribune. The core plan is to convert life as a resource-gaining it through clerics, extort, and drain engines, then weaponizing it via the classic Exquisite Blood loops, Aetherflux Reservoir, and a pumped Licia. Licia herself is a flexible closer: her cost reduction rewards proactive life gain, her lifelink first-strike body scales with her activated counters, and she pairs lethally with Hatred or Chandra's Ignition. Primary wins are infinite drain combos (Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond/Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose/Enduring Tenacity/Bloodthirsty Conqueror), backed by Reservoir executions and combat finishes. The deck plays as a midrange value engine that digs with Necropotence, Bolas's Citadel, and The One Ring, then snaps off a life-linked kill once both halves of a drain pair are online.
