Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Voltron and equipment-combo build led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning provides an aggressive stat line with first strike, trample, and lifelink, but her core strength lies in her Stagger ability. Because first strike deals damage before normal combat damage, Stagger triggers mid-combat to double all subsequent damage dealt to the defending player. When combined with massive equipment buffs like Colossus Hammer or double strike enablers, Lightning can eliminate players in a single swing. The deck accelerates through low-cost mana rocks and tutors its key tools using dedicated equipment searchers like Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift. It circumvents heavy equip costs using enablers like Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist.
