Format: Commander

Commander: Starscream, Power Hungry // Starscream, Seeker Leader

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Starscream, Power Hungry is a mono-black burn and card-draw engine that leverages the monarch mechanic to drain opponents. Casting Starscream converted as Seeker Leader lets you attack immediately with haste, flying, and menace to seize the crown and flip into the front face. Once crowned, every drawn card triggers Starscream to burn an opponent for two life. The deck supports this game plan through unblockable creatures that reclaim the monarchy, steady draw engines like Greed and Black Market Connections, and burst draw spells like Peer into the Abyss to finish the table alongside Bloodletter of Aclazotz or Psychosis Crawler.
