Deck overview

This Sultai deck is a high-powered competitive EDH list helmed by The Wise Mothman, functioning primarily as a fast combo and midrange consultation deck. While The Wise Mothman provides steady flying pressure, mill-based attrition, and an outlet for infinite creature mana via Food Chain, the deck's primary victory route centers on the compact Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation package. Backed by format-defining fast mana (Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Dark Ritual), explosive card draw (Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, Peer into the Abyss), and top-tier tutors, the deck reliably threatens a game-ending win on Turn 3. It features dense redundant win conditions including Witherbloom Apprentice paired with Chain of Smog, as well as Food Chain with Misthollow Griffin. A suite of free and efficient counterspells (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Pact of Negation), premier protection (Veil of Summer), and disruptive flash creatures (Opposition Agent, Notion Thief) ensures the deck can both defend its combo turns and disrupt opposing fast wins.
