Count the Counters by Painkiller8560

Format: Commander

Commander: Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-green deck, helmed by Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, is a dedicated +1/+1 counters strategy that leverages the commander's ability to double counters alongside a deep bench of redundant multiplier effects. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively into Vorinclex, then deploy a suite of counter doublers (Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, Hardened Scales, Primal Vigor, Innkeeper's Talent, The Earth Crystal, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, Pir, Imaginative Rascal, Benevolent Hydra) and hydras that enter with massive counters. The deck wins through combat damage, often via Craterhoof Behemoth or a trampling board of hugely scaled creatures. A secondary combo win exists using Walking Ballista with infinite mana from Incubation Druid and Seedborn Muse. The deck is a battlecruiser that slowly builds inevitability through counter multiplication and proliferate effects.
