Deck overview

Fire Lord Zuko leads an aggressive Mardu midrange deck centered on exile card advantage, +1/+1 counters, and explosive combat mana. The deck leverages impulse draw spells like Reckless Impulse and recurring exile engines like Norin the Wary, Prosper, Tome-Bound, and Bonehoard Dracosaur to repeatedly trigger Zuko, distributing +1/+1 counters across your entire creature suite. In turn, Zuko's firebending ability scales with his power, generating substantial bursts of red mana during combat. This extra mana fuels additional spells from exile, instant-speed interaction, or game-closing burn spells such as Chandra's Ignition and Comet Storm. With supportive token generators like Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival and evasion enablers like Abzan Falconer, the deck steadily builds wide, high-power boards while keeping opposing creature decks in check with asymmetric wipes like Damning Verdict.
