Astarion by amorim1108

Format: Commander

Commander: Astarion, the Decadent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Orzhov Vampires built around Astarion's end-step Feed trigger: spend the early game curving 1-3 drop lifelink Vampires and incidental drain, then cast Astarion to convert combat damage and life-loss spells into lethal Feed windows. Secondary plans are the Exquisite Blood/Sanguine Bond infinite life-drain loop, and a Blood Artist/Cruel Celebrant death-drain package. Edgar, Charmed Groom is the hidden commander in the 99, providing a recursive anthem and token engine. The commander is a finisher, not an engine; the deck drains through Sanguine Bond, Blood Tribute, and Fraying Omnipotence even if Astarion is absent.
