Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy build that leverages under-costed, high-power creatures to cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger ahead of curve. By chaining Turn 1 mana acceleration into aggressively statted 3-mana creatures like Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull, the deck reaches 10 to 12 total board power by Turn 4. This reduces Ghalta's casting cost to just two green mana. Once Ghalta enters, power-based card advantage engines such as Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond replenish the hand, while massive combat finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth close out the game through trample damage. The deck relies on high structural redundancy rather than tutors, giving it consistent opening curves and reliable pressure. While it is vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and lacks countermagic, its high density of independently threatening creatures allows it to rebuild quickly and overwhelm opposing defenses through raw combat efficiency.
