Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul artifact-midrange strategy led by Aerid Konstrari, focusing on generating artifact tokens (Heartwoods, Clues, Mutagens, and Golems) to accelerate mana and fuel combat scaling. Early turns are spent deploying land ramp and small artifact engines like Tireless Tracker, Sarinth Steelseeker, and Idol of Oblivion. Once Aerid lands on Turn 4, it generates Heartwood tokens to ramp further into high-cost threats or activate its own {6} pump ability. Aerid threatens lethal flying commander damage in the mid-game, especially when paired with double strike enablers like Blood Mist and Berserkers' Onslaught. In the late game, backup beefy threats such as Triplicate Titan, Pyrewood Gearhulk, and Combustible Gearhulk provide overwhelming board presence and redundancy. While vulnerable to instant removal and lacking stack interaction, the deck enjoys self-cushioning mana engines and consistent creature pressure.
