Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Zur the Enchanter prison and combo list designed to lock down opposing game plans before executing a lethal library-exile combo. The deck utilizes format-ceiling fast mana such as Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, and Chrome Mox to deploy Zur on Turn 2 or 3. Once Zur attacks on Turn 4, he cheats powerful enchantments into play, primarily Necropotence to draw a massive grip of interaction or Rest in Peace to immediately enable Helm of Obedience. Opponents are heavily restricted by asymmetric stax elements including Back to Basics, Cursed Totem, Arcane Laboratory, and Blind Obedience. With the help of Silence, Teferi, Time Raveler, and free countermagic like Force of Will, the deck eliminates opposing interaction windows and systematically mills out each opponent across consecutive turns.
