Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Rakdos big-mana combo engine built around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug combines flying, indestructible, and haste with a devastating trigger: whenever it takes noncombat damage, it creates that many Treasure tokens. The strategy uses dense fast mana, cost reducers, and rituals to deploy Smaug ahead of curve by Turn 4. Once Smaug enters the battlefield, symmetrical damage spells such as Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, Chain Reaction, and Cut Propulsion wipe opposing creatures while netting 13 to 20+ Treasure tokens. The deck converts this sudden mana surplus and accompanying draw engines into game-ending burn spells like Crackle with Power or aristocrat-style drain through Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and Agent of the Iron Throne. Built-in indestructible protects Smaug from sweepers, while redirection spells defend critical execution windows against targeted exile.
