Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch commands a synergistic Jund midrange and aristocrats engine centered on -1/-1 counters, wither, and Blight mechanics. The deck converts counter distribution into compounding resource disparity: placing counters on your own creatures triggers Auntie Ool to draw cards, while placing them on opposing creatures drains opponent life totals and dismantles their board presence. Supported by premier counter engines including Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and Nest of Scarabs, the deck generates vast swarms of deathtouch Snakes and Insects while shrinking opposing threats. Asymmetric board wipes like Black Sun's Zenith and Carnifex Demon trigger widespread drain from Obelisk Spider and Blood Artist, while Kulrath Knight renders opposing creatures incapable of combat. The deck leverages Ward-Blight 2 and graveyard recursion to maintain resilience against spot removal, steadily overwhelming the table through inescapable attrition, card advantage, and lethal drain by Turn 7.
