Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats Reanimator strategy commanded by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The game plan focuses on building an early board of recursive fodder, sacrificial Angels, and aristocrat payoffs while developing mana through low-cost rocks and rituals. Midgame sequencing revolves around resolving Shilgengar to convert high-toughness Angels like Angel of Serenity or disposable tokens into six Blood tokens. Once stocked, Shilgengar activates its mass reanimation ability at instant speed, returning all creature cards from the graveyard to the battlefield. This reanimation wave immediately drains opponents via Gray Merchant of Asphodel and sets up overwhelming combat lethal on the following turn. Backup lines utilize compact sacrifice loops involving Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Blood Artist to drain the table without needing combat. While resilient to creature combat, the deck remains vulnerable to instant-speed graveyard exile and targeted commander removal before Blood token accumulation.
