Deck overview

Mister Fantastic leads an Ink-Treader (WURG) spellslinger midrange deck focused on triggering noncreature spell payoffs and amplifying powerful triggered abilities. The game plan centers on casting low-cost noncreature spells to trigger Mister Fantastic's combat card draw alongside iconic team members like Human Torch, The Thing, and Council of Reeds. Once established, the deck leverages Mister Fantastic's {R}{G}{W}{U} ability and enchantments like Annie Joins Up to copy triggers, exponentially scaling creature stats, board tokens, and combat damage. Mid-game card flow is maintained through Whirlwind of Thought and Rebound spells, while defensive tools like Clever Concealment and Tragic Arrogance protect the board or break parity. The deck closes games around turn 8 using unblockable alpha strikes, trigger damage from Human Torch, or resolving game-ending bombs like Taunt from the Rampart and Galactus, Devourer of Worlds.
