Hazel of the Rootbloom 8 by vite

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hazel of the Rootbloom is a token-copy engine, mana battery, and incidental token generator. The primary plan is to build a squirrel token base, use Hazel's end-step trigger to double Squirrel tokens each turn, and either fuel a huge Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire, or pivot into an infinite death-trigger loop with Chatterfang, Pitiless Plunderer, and a free sacrifice outlet. Secondary paths include wide combat damage from Deep Forest Hermit, Hornet Queen, and Helm of the Host copies, plus attrition drains from Bastion of Remembrance and Blood Artist. The deck can function without Hazel, but she provides the explosive mana and recursive token generation that makes midgame comebacks possible.
