Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a tribal midrange strategy centered around Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. It combines dense early ramp with high-toughness reach Spiders to establish an impregnable defensive perimeter. Once Shelob enters the battlefield, she grants all Spiders deathtouch and ward {2}, transforming every fight spell, bite effect, and pinging equipment into instant-speed removal that steals opposing creatures as Food artifact copies. The deck leverages this asymmetric board control to grind down opposing resources while building a massive board presence. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat damage via mass pump spells like Overwhelming Stampede, Coat of Arms, and Night of the Sweets' Revenge, or through direct life loss from Ishkanah, Grafwidow and Rotwidow Pack. While resilient against targeted spot removal due to ward, the deck relies on careful timing to rebuild against untargeted mass board sweepers.
