Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis Villain tribal and discard-midrange strategy led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The plan focuses on maximizing connive triggers to sculpt hand quality, fill the graveyard, and build large, evasive threats. Discarding lands triggers Doctor Doom's passive ability, draining all opponents for 2 life each time. Synergistic Villains such as Leader, Super-Genius, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and Ultron, Unlimited convert connive triggers into rapid power growth and robot tokens. Meanwhile, cards like Containment Construct, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, and Tectonic Reformation turn discarded resources into pure card and mana advantage. The deck controls the game pace using efficient interaction, combat taxes from Propaganda, and creature debuffs from M.O.D.O.K.. It closes the game on Turn 8 through a mix of menace combat swings and unavoidable multi-target land discard drain.
