Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal aristocrats build helmed by Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant. It operates by establishing early Zombie board presence with low-cost utility creatures such as Cryptbreaker, Carrion Feeder, and Diregraf Colossus, before deploying mid-game engine centerpieces like Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver and Necroduality. The deck leverages heavy tribal synergy, anthem lords, and graveyard recursion to overwhelm opponents through combat and life-drain effects like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Diregraf Captain. Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant acts as both a late-game board builder and a deterrent against sweepers, threatening to wipe all nonland permanents upon death. The deck excels at grinding out opposing creature boards through asymmetric attrition like Noxious Ghoul and repeatable sacrifice edicts, closing games reliably around Turn 8 through wide evasive combat or aristocrat drain.
