Deck overview

This mono-green deck centers on Oviya, Automech Artisan, utilizing her low-cost activated ability to cheat game-ending creatures into play ahead of curve. The early game focuses on establishing fast mana through efficient one- and two-drop ramp spells, enabling Oviya to hit the battlefield on Turn 3. By Turn 4, Oviya taps to put massive threats like Vaultborn Tyrant, Avenger of Zendikar, Jumbo Cactuar, or Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus directly onto the battlefield, entirely bypassing their steep mana costs and counterspells. The midgame converts this board presence into decisive combat pressure. Oviya grants trample to all creatures attacking opponents, turning cards like Jumbo Cactuar into instant one-shot eliminations and enabling wide token boards to overwhelm blockers. A robust suite of cheap protection spells, including Heroic Intervention and Veil of Summer, shields key pieces from removal. Even without Oviya, the deck easily hardcasts its top-end threats using traditional green ramp to overpower the table.
