Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch leads an attrition-heavy Jund -1/-1 counters deck that turns counter placement into card advantage, creature tokens, and life drain. Backed by 15 low-cost ramp pieces, the deck regularly casts Auntie Ool on turn 3 and establishes an operational counter engine by turn 4. On turn 5, mass counter distribution from cards like Black Sun's Zenith, Carnifex Demon, and Soul Snuffers clears opposing boards while triggering massive card draw from self-blight and life drain against opponents. Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons convert these counter waves into vast token swarms, while Kulrath Knight and Spitting Dilophosaurus prevent opponents from blocking or attacking. Direct burn from All Will Be One and continuous drain from Obelisk Spider ensure inevitable table-wide lethality by turn 7. While vulnerable to stack-based combos and mass exile sweepers due to a lack of blue countermagic, its high card velocity and functional redundancy provide formidable mid-game staying power.
