Deck overview

This is a Jund counter-control deck built around Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. Its best ordinary engine is Auntie Ool, Cursewretch with Sinister Gnarlbark: each end step supplies two cards while placing a -1/-1 counter on your board. The deck then aims to convert counters into creature suppression through Midnight Banshee and Kulrath Knight. Around turn 10, that pair can prevent most opposing creatures from attacking or blocking, while reanimation, removal, and counter payoffs generate incremental advantage. The strategy has good internal synergy, but it is mana-intensive and relies on several singleton permanents surviving across multiple turns. It does not contain a compact deterministic win. Combat suppression leaves opponents able to cast spells, use abilities, deploy black creatures, and remove the lock pieces. Lathril, Blade of the Elves offers a secondary drain plan, but the list does not reliably create the ten Elves needed for repeated activations. Expect a slow, interactive attrition game rather than a fast combo finish.
