Format: Commander

Commander: Sorin of House Markov // Sorin, Ravenous Neonate

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

An Orzhov extort deck built around Sorin of House Markov. The front face provides a two-mana lifelink extort engine; the back face is a burst-damage finisher once you have gained 3 life in a turn. Most games revolve around playing cheap cantrips and draw engines, paying extort repeatedly, then converting the life lead into damage with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Enduring Tenacity, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Starscape Cleric. Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond forms an infinite drain loop, but the deck has no tutor, so that combo is a bonus rather than the median plan. There is no true hidden commander; Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord and Great Unclean One are support/recursion pieces.
