Deck overview

Sensational Spider-Man leads an Azorius control deck that pairs creature immobilization with a dense stax shell. The strategy uses tap effects and stun counters to neutralize opposing threats while converting those counters into card draw each time Spider-Man attacks. Supported by punishing denial cards such as Winter Moon, Mana Breach, Torpor Orb, and Silent Arbiter, the deck restricts opponents' mana bases, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and attack steps. Because the list runs thin mana acceleration and no nonland tutors, it relies on hitting regular land drops and digging deep with combat draw triggers and cantrips. Once the board is contained under stax pieces or permanent stun locks via Fear of Sleep Paralysis, the deck shifts into its win plan. It secures victory by casting Approach of the Second Sun, quickly drawing through the intervening cards with Spider-Man's attack triggers, and casting it a second time.
