Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Reanimator and Aristocrats strategy that converts life, sacrifice fodder, and graveyard access into commanding board control and decisive combo finishes. Commanded by Witch-king of Angmar, the deck utilizes the command zone as a dependable, instant-speed discard outlet and a defensive deterring body. Early turns focus on entombing high-impact creatures such as Archon of Cruelty and Razaketh, the Foulblooded, which are brought back via efficient reanimation spells around Turn 4. The mid-game establishes an asymmetric attrition engine using Grave Pact, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and recurring token generators like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer to suppress opposing creature boards. Victory is achieved either by assembling the two-card infinite life-drain combo of Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Bloodthirsty Conqueror, or by resolving a massive Living Death that loops Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Kokusho, the Evening Star for lethal table-wide drain.
