Deck overview

This is an Esper control/life-drain deck built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed's dual trigger: her end-step life-loss draw and her MV 3+ noncreature burn. The plan is to police the table with a dense counterspell and removal suite, deploy a web of drain engines - Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Talion, the Kindly Lord, Bloodchief Ascension, Papalymo Totolymo, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose - and convert every noncreature spell into 2 damage per opponent plus life, which Vito turns into more damage. The deck also leans on Curiosity-class auras (Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, Tandem Lookout) to turn evasive damage into card advantage, clone effects (Quantum Misalignment, Irenicus's Vile Duplication, Irma, Part-Time Mutant) to double Y'shtola's engine, and Bolas's Citadel to chain spells off the top. It wins slowly and incrementally - grinding three opponents out through repeated pings, lifegain-fueled drain, and a one-sided Cyclonic Rift or Farewell to reset the board in its favor.
