Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier leads an Izzet spellslinger deck built to turn every noncreature spell into a drain and a +1/+1 counter. The commander is both the accelerator and one of several pinger engines; she gains power as spells resolve, then converts that power into one burst of red/blue mana. Secondary paths are Niv-Mizzet, Parun plus Curiosity or Tandem Lookout for an infinite damage loop, and a Veyran/Guttersnipe/Young Pyromancer-style token-and-burn turn. There is no hidden commander. The deck wins by chaining cheap instants and sorceries, protected by cheap counterspells, until the table is gone.
